Cornerstone Haven – A Family Lakeside Escape

We had an excellent experience staying at this lake home! The house was real clean. I would highly recommend this home to anyone considering staying in the Lake Crescent area.

Great location for all the different parts of the park. Lovely house with beautiful view of the lake. Hope to visit again.

Nice house, lot of space for not that many beds but worked for our family of four. Location is in a gated community but easy access to water and also short drive from the amazing lake crescent.

We had a mixed stay.The good: Lake Sutherland is amazingly beautiful, the communal dock with swimming area was great. The house provided tons of towels and life jackets. The house was clean. The bad: the house has a very odd layout. Only one bedroom has full curtains and a door. The other rooms/lofts will stay as light as it is outside. This made getting our kids to sleep a challenge. The downstairs bathroom is damp smelling. Finally, the hosts told us the day before our arrival we’d have access to kayaks. Upon arriving they then told us this wasn’t the case. We then had to pay hundreds to rent instead of bringing and using our own.

Very cute little community on a lake I would have otherwise not known about!! Lake Sutherland is like a small Lake Crescent. It was a good place to be to trek around ONP. The only issue I would say is the hot water didn’t really last for a place that is to accommodate 8 people. The gate wouldn’t let us out one day but a neighbor was quick to fix it. Maybe instructions on who to call if that happens - we just got lucky.
